Welcome to Lifelong Habit. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Lifelong Habit mobile app ("App"), operated by Lifelong Habit ("we", "us", or "our").

By using Lifelong Habit, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Lifelong Habit is designed to collect only what is necessary to provide you with a great habit-tracking experience.

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: If you sign in via Google OAuth or email OTP, we collect your email address or Google account token to authenticate your account.
  • Habit Data: Habits and related logs you create are stored securely on our servers to sync across your devices.
  • Feedback or Support: If you contact us by email, we may retain that correspondence to assist you.

Automatically Collected Data

  • Device Information: Basic technical details such as device type and OS version may be collected for performance and crash analytics.
  • Usage Data: We use PostHog to understand how users interact with features so we can improve the app experience.
  • Notifications: If you enable reminders, we collect the information required to deliver push notifications to your device. This data is used solely to deliver your scheduled reminders.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Operate and improve the app experience
  • Sync your account and habit data across your devices
  • Deliver scheduled reminders and notifications you have set
  • Respond to support requests and feedback
  • Analyze usage patterns (via PostHog) to improve features
  • Ensure app performance and prevent abuse

We never sell or rent your data to third parties, and we do not share your data with advertisers.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your account information and habit data are stored securely using Supabase. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and encrypted at rest using AES-256. Access to your data is restricted to you and authorized members of our team who require it to operate and improve the app.

4. Google User Data

If you sign in with Google, we receive only your email address and basic profile information as authorized by you via Google's OAuth consent screen. We use this information solely to create and manage your Lifelong Habit account. We do not access your Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google services. We do not share your Google account data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

Lifelong Habit may use third-party tools to operate and improve the app. These services have their own privacy policies which govern how they handle your data:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database hosting
  • PostHog: Usage analytics
  • Google: OAuth sign-in
  • Google Play / App Store: Payment and subscription processing

We will update this list as additional services are integrated in future versions of the app.

6. Managing Your Data

You have full control over your data:

  • You may delete your account at any time from within the app or by emailing us at the address below.
  • Upon account deletion, your account and habit data will be permanently removed from our servers.
  • You may request a copy of your stored data by contacting us directly.

7. Children's Privacy

Lifelong Habit is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

8. International Users

Your data may be stored or processed in countries where our servers or service providers operate. By using Lifelong Habit, you consent to this transfer in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

9. Future Platforms

Lifelong Habit is currently available on Android. iOS and web versions are planned for the future. This Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly as new platforms are released.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you via the app or store listing if significant changes occur. Continued use of the app after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
